The bird is a symbol of freedom and represents the element of air like no other animal. Birds are considered messengers between people and the spiritual world. Many birds have their own symbolism. I painted the beautiful bird naturalistically on a pouring background. This is also called fluid art because the paint flows after pouring. An expressionistic style of painting. My works are characterized by a unique fusion of realism and abstraction. Animal motifs depicted with astonishing precision are placed against flowing, abstract backgrounds that give each work a dreamlike quality. The Kaiserstuhl has a unique flora and fauna. I have always been fascinated by the diversity in this very special area. The numerous birds are particularly exciting. The hoopoe loves warm regions, e.g. the Kaiserstuhl in Baden-Württemberg (my home).
