Sandra Carvajal, known under the stage name San Starling, is a Prague-born, Germany-based artist who turned to painting after a career in architecture. Her works are characterized by complex layering of acrylic paints and pasty textures that give the paintings a three-dimensional depth and dynamism. San Starling uses intense structures that interact with light and perspective, which constantly reveal new facets in her works. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Art Fair Luxembourg and the National Gallery in Chomutov.
